There are so many things I want you to know about teaching in K12 learning environments. Each of you is from a different background, has different interests, and different motivations for learning — alot like the students on this sample class roll!
Today we’re going to see how much learning we can cram into one class meeting – so I’m challenging you to complete the “Teacher Boot Camp”. In small groups of 4 or 5 – see how many pages you can work through on our Boot Camp website. You’ll need to complete the handout distributed in class as you work through each page – you can fill out one form per group. (If you missed class today – you’ll need to complete at least 3 of the 5 pages on the website.)
As you finish a page – add a tank to your team chart on the board. The team completing the most pages will earn late/absence passes for each member.
For Wednesday:
I know it’s a long weekend, but…Read Chapter 2 in your text and complete the reading guide. You can email it to me or turn in a hard copy Wednesday at the beginning of class. Remember, you are expected to complete 4 of the 6 reading guides this semester. (so if you have plans for Labor day, this might just be one of the two you choose not to do....just a suggestion)
